My name is Sabrina, and I’m happy to announce that I’m the author, recipe creator, food stylist, and partial food photographer of Sabrina’s Sinless Secrets!
Now, allow me to further introduce myself—beyond the blog, that is. I was born in Scottsdale, Arizona, but raised in Payson—a small, country-western town about 80 miles up north from Scottsdale. From the time I was eight years old until I graduated high school at eighteen, I grew up in this retirement-community—crawling with cowboys, senior citizens, country music, rodeos, and more western life! Oh, don’t let me forget, Payson also offered practically nothing to do for fun. When it turned past nine o’clock everything closed; so if my friends and I wanted to get really wild, the 24-hour Walmart Supercenter and McDonalds became the “it” places. It’s sad, I know. I mean, when it takes about five miles to drive through a whole town, you can’t expect much.
If you knew me personally, this is where the laughing would start. Reason being, I LOVE the city life. Dressing like a New Yorker (what a dream that would be) and LA local, I definitely never felt in place growing up. At times it was hard being surrounded in a place where nearly everyone had dissimilar interests than me, but I made the best of it! My hometown wasn’t all bad. Although there wasn’t much opportunity to meet new people (you pretty much knew everyone since elementary school), there was a generous amount of whole-hearted, amazing people that I called my friends! Everyone knew everyone, which always made every day a cheerful one. The pure air and beautiful mountainous scenery was also a plus. Regardless of where I lived, my perfect mom, comical dad, bestest brotha eva, and our little yorkie, Harry, made life great!
Furthermore, after high school I moved back to Scottsdale. Yay! After finishing community college, I moved to Flagstaff, Arizona to attend NAU. After that experience, I’m now back in Scottsdale to work with my family-owned, award-winning breakfast/lunch restaurant, Harlow’s Café. Check it out if you’re ever in Tempe, Arizona! You won’t regret it.
Anyways, as far as my occupational dreams go, the number one thing I’m passionate about is writing. My older brother, Michael, and I have been creating a book series since we were little kids! We decided to start developing our first book when we were twelve and thirteen years old and it took almost ten years for us to complete it. Let me tell you, that was somethin’! We would love for it to take off and have movies made after it one day.
A few of my other passions are: this food blog (obviously!), health, fashion, fitness, and, most importantly, helping and teaching people. Whether, I give someone advice, make them laugh, or help them become healthier and stronger I’m happy. I want to make a positive impact in people’s lives. You’ll find out more about my view of life, insights, and experiences as you follow along this journey with me! I would love to expand to other blogs in the future to focus on other topics of interest, too; but for now, let me share my love and knowledge of food and mental and physical health with you on Sabrina’s Sinless Secrets!
Before I conclude this synopsis about me, here are some fun facts, some of my sinless secrets, if you must:
- My brother, Michael, is my best friend in the whole world!
- I want to become a successful entrepreneur.
- I’m obsessed with fruit, especially berries!
- I’m a clean freak. I even clean my kitchen cabinets, light switches, and door handles. Oh yeah, I go hard.
- My favorite color is red, which matches my favorite flowers—red roses.
- I love Sailor Moon (Sailor Moon and Mars are my favorite scouts!).
- I’ve come to the realization that I’m a sixty-year-old trapped in a twenty-two-year-old body.
- Needless to say, I’m an old soul.
- I have an unexpected sense of humor (it’ll all make sense soon).
- My birthday is February 18, which puts me on the cusp of an Aquarius and Pisces.
Well, this seems about good for now. Hopefully you got a little taste of who I am! I can’t wait to share more and elaborate on the above with you! Thanks for stopping by!
