Welcome! I’m so happy you’re here visiting my food and wellness blog! You’ve officially gained access to my sinless secrets of life and food that will change your life … forever! Allow me to make clean-eating enjoyable for you. I’ll have you craving Paleo, gluten-free, refined sugar-free, and vegan recipes over the traditional, not so good for you stuff! Let me tell you how Sabrina’s Sinless Secrets started.
Before I begin, you need to know something about me: I tend to be pretty private with my life. To prove this, I’ve never had any social media! Ever. Now you probably think I’m crazy, or maybe I’m hiding something. I assure you, I’m not hiding anything in specific, but I can’t doubt the crazy part. I mean, everyone’s a little crazy—all in good fun, of course. So the fact that I have a blog is a pretty big step for me, and it shows how much you guys mean to me. Especially because I entered the social media world … just for you! Don’t forget to check me out on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest. Likes and subscribes are always welcome.
To continue, the love of cooking has always been in my family. Fortunately for me, growing up I always had hot, yummy meals made for me by my lovely mom or dad. However, it wasn’t always healthy food that I was consuming. To make it short, during my childhood and early adulthood, my mom always bought the best snacks and cooked food that was so mouth-wateringly delicious, but they weren’t made with the healthiest ingredients, to say the least!
As I got older I discovered two of my many interests: nutrition and fitness! Throughout high school I got more into exercise and gradually started eliminating all bad foods from my diet. With the help of the Internet and word-of-mouth, my family also learned how unhealthy the foods we ate were and made healthier choices.
Though, it wasn’t until after I graduated high school that I truly became a health/fitness freak. Fast-forwarding four years, I don’t consume any unhealthy foods or refined sugar. I also work out regularly, five to six days a week.
It’s safe to say I’m in love with cooking! Since Michael (my older brother) and I share a condo, I take on all the cooking. I enjoy making him exultant with my healthy, yet scrumptious dishes and treats. If you ask, he’ll tell you that I’ve annoyed him in the past with forcing—I mean—getting him to stop eating certain foods. When you care about someone, tough love is one way to get through. He’s more than grateful with his decisions now.
So, for almost a year, blogging was coming up on a regular basis. In the beginning it was never something I could see myself pursuing. Reason being, it’s such an open thing with huge responsibilities, competition, and expectations to live up to. Nevertheless, the idea didn’t go away. I started doing research and noticed how so many bloggers have changed people’s lives and how happy they were blogging. I mentioned it to Michael and he immediately told me how great I would be at it.
As months passed, I delved into more research and contemplation; I was on the brink of following through. Yet, I was so intimidated (I still am) by all the amazing bloggers out there. Still, Michael kept telling me that I should get my own blog, specifically after or as he gobbled up my food. So, it was really because of his encouraging words that I FINALLY made the commitment.
Let’s get into the really important part. What is my blog going to offer you, you ask? On Sabrina’s Sinless Secrets I’ll share my love and knowledge of healthy cooking, exercise, and mental strengthening.
Well, let’s start with the food. Though I don’t have any food allergies or irritants, I still follow a clean-eating lifestyle. So the recipes I’ll be posting will be allergy-friendly, such as, gluten-free, Paleo, dairy-free, vegan, and vegetarian—utilizing only the freshest, high-quality ingredients. Another thing you can expect with my creations is that they’ll always be refined sugar-free. I do not consume refined sugar, as I’m very against all its evilness, so I use healthier alternatives, like raw honey and pure maple syrup or zero-calorie sweeteners, like stevia and monk fruit (still experimenting with these).
I’m obsessed with fruit, vegetables, and high protein foods/snacks, due to my fitness regimens, so I’ll be incorporating these ingredients quite often. My goal is to appeal to a wide-range of people with or without food restrictions. So I’ll be making nutritious and delectable recipes suitable for everyone! As a perfectionist, I won’t ever post something until it’s … perfected!
Moreover, Sabrina’s Sinless Secrets will also focus on wellness. So, I’ll offer ways to increase your health through your mind and body for both men and women, exploring topics of exercise, awareness, nutrition, advice, and so forth. From there, we can grow and learn together! We’re obviously going to have fun, too.
Here I am … getting crazy in the kitchen, again.
*Since my blog is new, it doesn’t have nearly as much content as I’d like, but I’ll be posting every week! Subscribe for a new recipe every Sinless Sunday! I will eventually offer another post on the mind and/or body every Metamorphosis Monday! I’ll be increasing my posts during the week as my blog progresses.
If you have any questions or requests for food/posts please feel free to comment or contact me and let me know! Again, thank you for stopping by. It means the world to me that you took the time to visit my blog!
