We’re giving January a yummy, warm goodbye today with this Paleo Caramel Macchiato. 👋🏼😋☕️ Cold weather calls for a blanket of comfort, and a hot drink like this is sure to soothe any chilly distress. 😌
When I was in middle school, I used to go to Starbucks nearly every day after school. Whether it was with friends or my mom and brother during grocery runs, I needed to get my Starbucks fix. 😈 Besides their drinks being tasty, it just felt “cool” carrying a Starbucks cup around for some reason. 😆
Let me elaborate on “my mom and brother during groceries runs.” I grew up in a small town, which obviously didn’t have much going on. 😞 That being said, when Starbucks rolled around in Safeway, it was a poppin’ place! 💃🏻
I didn’t bother with any of their teas, because I was hooked on three of their coffee drinks: vanilla bean Frappuccino, double chocolaty chip crème Frappuccino, and caramel macchiato.
The caramel macchiato was the first coffee drink that I tried from Starbucks. There were so many options that I had to ask my mom what she thought I should try. 🤷🏻♀️ She chose the warm caramel macchiato for my brother and I—we were sold for quite some time. 😎 Nice choice, Mom. 😘
I will never say no to dark chocolate or caramel—put those two together and that’s some serious magic! 🤩 Maybe that’ll happen soon here on Triple S. 😏
Needless to say, I stopped drinking Starbucks long ago after reading the nutrition labels online. 😱 Wow is all I have to say about that. I still don’t know how I wasn’t overweight as a kid. 🤣 Besides the overbearing amount of calories and fat, they were full of sugar! 😳👎🏼🙅🏻♀️
I mean, in one grande-sized double chocolatey chip crème Frappuccino with whole milk and whipped cream there’s a whopping 420 calories, 13g of saturated fat (20g total fat), 55mg of cholesterol, 270mg of sodium, and 52g sugars! WHAT?! 😧 This is ONE beverage! 😵 That’s when I said goodbye to Starbucks. ✌🏼
And now I’m saying hello to Triple S brews because this Paleo Caramel Macchiato is SO much better than the one I was obsessed with at Starbucks! 😍 It really shocked me! It didn’t leave me feeling full, with a sugar high, or with any guilt because this Paleo Macchiato is:
- Refined sugar-free
- Simple and easy to make
- Made with minimal, wholesome ingredients
- DELICIOUS and incredibly satisfying!
My brother hasn’t drunken coffee in over 8 years because it always irritate his stomach, but when he saw (and smelt) me making this Paleo Macchiato I noticed a burst of interest bloom right out of him. 🙌🏼
“When are you drinking that?” he asked.
“Right after I finish up with the shoot!” By the tone of his voice, I suspected he wanted some, so I asked, “Why? Do you want to try some?”
“I mean, yeah, I’ll try some.”
I was surprised, but excited that he wanted to try it! Especially because of how many memories it brought back from back in the day. (People always laugh at me when I say that phrase—do I need to be older or something? I know I’m only twenty-three, but, I mean, I already feel like a sixty-year-old woman on the inside. 😂 #oldsoul).
Of course, I let him drink from this bad boy, pouring my half in another cup. I knew the caramel-covered rim would increase the whole Paleo Caramel Macchiato experience for him. 🤗
After a few sips of this Paleo Caramel Macchiato, it had him urging me to make my own coffee brand! Such an amazing compliment. ☺️💙 He even said it blew away the one at Starbucks. 🌬The best thing about his coffee experience was that it never hurt his stomach. 🙌🏼
Maybe the reasoning behind his stomach aches were the causes of the heaps of sugar, cream, preservatives, additives, and unhealthy fats in his coffee. 🤔😬
I’m telling you, you need to try this Paleo Caramel Macchiato for yourself! I think you might just fall in love with it too. 😉 Plus, everyone that has tried my Paleo and Vegan Salted Caramel Sauce has told me it’s the best caramel sauce they’ve EVER had! Even my mom, the ultimate caramel lover who’s tried all types said so. 😜 Not only is the caramel sauce super easy (only takes 20 minutes to make with a nearly hands-off process!), but also it will yield enough caramel for 8 Paleo Caramel Macchiatos if you so desire! 🤤
The best thing about this Paleo Caramel Macchiato is that you don’t need to be a barista to make it. It is such a simple coffee drink that you can make it every day—even on your busy schedule!

We’ll see. 😘 #TripleS #becausesinlessisdelicious
- 8 oz. bold coffee of your choice
- ¼ cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk, heated
- 2 tablespoons Paleo and Vegan Salted Caramel Sauce, plus more for drizzling (I would recommend reducing or omitting the salt for the caramel if you’re planning on using it for this recipe; it might be too salty in the coffee)
- ⅛ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- Add the two tablespoons of caramel to the bottom of your coffee cup.
- Then, pour the freshly brewed coffee in and stir it.
- Thereafter, pour in the hot almond milk (you can heat the milk over a small saucepan on the stovetop or in the microwave in a heat-safe bowl until it is hot, but not boiling; You don’t want it to burn.)
- Top it off with an additional pour/drizzle of caramel sauce and savor the sinless deliciousness! 😉
