This Homemade Pumpkin Spice is the main ingredient to make all of your fall recipe desires sparkle! The warm, addicting flavors really ignite fall season—but don’t think pumpkin pie spice is only for one time of the year. This Homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice can be used all year round!
Fall is almost here, which means PUMPKIN is coming back to steal the show! 🎃🍁🍂 What better spice complements fall flavors than Homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice?
Fall always makes me smile, because I get to say GOODBYE to summer! 👋🏼😃 Summer and I aren’t on the best of terms—mainly because I live in one of the hottest states in the country. 😐 Summers in Scottsdale, Arizona aren’t about spending time outdoors, roasting marshmallows, going hiking, or the like. No, because during the summer in Scottsdale, Arizona, going outside alone is a death wish. 😵 Our pools turn into Jacuzzis, a simple in-and-out errand run turns into a detoxifying sauna trip, cold water no longer exists from the faucet, and say hello to exorbitant electric bills from the constantly running AC. 😬
I mean, our first day of summer hit 120°F! ☀️🔥 What?! That’s not cool.
But hey, what do you expect from living in a desert? I guess the answer is … dealing with “summer” for about seven months out of the year, because it never really cools down until December-February. Even so, there are some days that hit the 80s or 90s! During mid February we hit spring for, like, a week and then the summer weather returns. 😂 So sad.
Here I am with a closet full of fall/winter clothes with nowhere to wear them. 😒 When will I be reunited with cold weather? 😔🙏🏼
Nevertheless, the thought of leaves turning colors, cooler days, and this Homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice gives me hope. 😊
I made this Homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice last year, because I made so many pumpkin recipes! Since I was using a store-bought, expensive, pumpkin pie spice, I thought I might as well make my own version. 💁🏻
I’m so glad that I did, because this Homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice is unlike the others in the store. It tastes so much better! 😋 I think it has the perfect combination and amounts of spices. One of the best things about this recipe is that it uses one bowl and takes about 5 minutes to make!
All you do is add the spices to a bowl and whisk it; it couldn’t get much easier than that! 👍🏼
So, what are you waiting for? Whip up this Homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice and get to celebrating the plump, orange vegetable we love so much! 😍🎃 I’ll be posting some pumpkin recipes sporadically from now until December, so get ready! 😏
